CURRICULUM VITAE

I am a self-starting, motivated and enthusiastic journalist with experience in print, online, video and audio journalism. I have strong initiative, and I'm always eager to learn and better myself and my skills.

2017-Present

FREELANCE JOURNALIST

I have been a freelance journalist for the last several years, and have had pieces published in Totally Dublin, Nós Magazine and the Dublin Gazette. I was also a regular contributor to the student news website Oxygen.ie for the last two years.

EDUCATION HISTORY

BACHELOR OF ARTS IN JOURNALISM

Technological University Dublin

Erica completed a BA in Journalism from 2017-2021 and is currently awaiting results. This was a Level 8 degree and over the course of her studies she took part in practical modules such as Print Journalism, Online Journalism, Television Presenting, Journalism for Radio and Local Journalism. She also studied modules such as Media Law (Basic and Advanced), Irish and European Politics and Media Entrepreneurship. Erica maintained a grade average of a 2.1 throughout her course.

JUNIOR AND LEAVING CERTIFICATE

Erica attended Scoil Chaitríona secondary school from 2011-2017 and received her Junior and Leaving Cert qualifications here. As a student of a Gaelscoil, Erica is fluent in Irish and maintains a high standard of both written and spoken Irish.
